Founded in 2025 by Don Flores, Kinetic Desolation Studios was created to provide the best and most unique user experiences in the industry. KDS was born out of passion and love, something our company still holds deep to it's core to this day.
At KDS, we strive to innovate with everything we do, whether that be hardware, software, or our game. Everything is done with passion and care. If we don't want to do it, we won't.

We started Kinetic Desolation Studios with a simple goal in mind: to create the best games we can, and that's what we've done. Every game we make is a passion project, a love letter to the fan that showcases our sincerest effort.
At Kinetic Desolation Studios, we believe in building unique and innovative user experiences that extend beyond the screen. We have innovative hardware in the works that will change how fans interact with games forever.
When creating a game, we always try to innovate new technology in development. In order to give back to the consumer, post-release, we release all of our developer tools to the public to be explored and used by others.
"POSTHUMAN" is a story-driven FPS in early development. Inspired by projects such as Half-Life and Cyberpunk 2077, POSTHUMAN aims to deliver an unforgettable cinematic yet grounded experience in a brand new universe. Developed in the Source Engine, POSTHUMAN utilizes some of the most innovative technology in the industry.

The "KD-1," as it's currently named, is a standalone portable PC, aimed to function similarly to the ASUS Rogue, Steam Deck, etc. The model shown above is a basic 3D render, as the product is still currently in the concept phase. The overall goal for KD-1 is to provide the best portable gaming experience possible, while still maintaining performance and immersion.

For starters, KDS is a flat company. Although we do hire for specific roles, no one at KD is stuck in one place; everyone can roam freely and work on what their heart desires.
We don't offer entry-level positions or internships; we only look for individuals who are decently experienced in their field.
And don't feel trapped by titles! KDS is a title-less company, so we're always hiring for untraditional roles or expertise.
Overall, we try to be one thing: fun. If you aren't having fun working at KDS, we have failed at our one primary goal: to make things fun. KDS was founded on passion and love for gaming, and those are still our core principles.
